Wilmington Holidazzle Website
This is an all-day event in Wilmington, Ohio. It's four hours away and is sure to be a lot of fun. Anyone wishing to go the cost is $5 per person and there is limited seating. See Kim Squires for payments, seats will be given away on a first pay first serve basis.
Welcome to Chapparells Baton & Drum Corps
The Chapparells are a non-profit youth organization operating out the Akron area since 1974. We march in parades all around the state of Ohio and often go on overnight trips out of state, having a lot of fun. Members in Chapparells twirl batons, flags, and play in a percussion band. We're always welcoming new members and are willing to make them feel comfortable.

New Members
On Monday, October 3, 2011, new members are welcome to join. Ages 10 & up. A parent must come in with new member on first practice to get information, sign up for bingo and get paperwork. Be sure to get some fliers to pass out at school or work. A limited number of "used" batons are available to purchase, at $10 each. No one will be given a baton to take home, but will be provided at practice if necessary.

Parents Meetings, Car Washes, New August Parade
July 11th there is a mandatory parents meeting for all marching member parents. You must attend this meeting if your child is to be going to the August Performance in Disneyworld. Bring copies of your insurance cards also!
July 9th and 23rd are car wash days! In order to have spending money for the August trip you must participate in these car washes! Sign up on which days you would like to be here.
We also have an additional parade in August for the 21st in North Royalton. Be sure to mark your calendars!
Also there is an additional meeting on July 18th at 6pm for the following people only:

Uniforms
Uniforms will be ready in May. Before your child can wear it, you must attend a parent's meeting that we will be having in April to go over the trip info, during which permission slips and any information that Laurie needs will be finished that evening. If you haven't given Laurie a copy of your birth certificate, bring it then!!
